20110417-doc-riversDoc Rivers dramatically read the scene where Anakin lost his arm, but alas was overlooked by the Star Wars prequel casting crew

What can I say that hasn't already been said about this weekend's awesome basketball games? You know, aside from saying something like "OOGA BOOGA!" because, hey, nobody's said it yet, but saying it would accomplish nothing.

Okay, based on that last sentence, I think I am losing my mind, so I'll just go ahead and give you these two links:
1) Via The Basketball Jones, Aaron Gray Scores a Basket.

2) Via Chris, a Stephon Marbury update!

Stan Van Gundy disapproves of... something. What's going on here?

64357903Hey! Be careful with those finger guns, Barney Fife!

20110416-tyler-hansbroughShhhh! It's naptime

20110417-bill-belichickThat sneaky Bill Belichick! He's getting really good at hiding his video cameras

20110417-doc-rivers-2Oddly enough, I have the same exact look on my face whenever I watch Rondo shoot free throws

20110417-lionel-hollinsmr-burns-pictureSeparated at birth

20110417-oj-mayo-shane-battierEven when it comes to man love, the playoffs take the intensity level to new highs

201110417-ray-allen-shaqPictured: Ray Allen's sobering realization that his chances at another championship rest on the 728 pound mess of injured muscles, ligaments, and fat sitting next to him

Nationally Televised Games:
76ers at Heat, TNT, 7pm (Heat lead series 1-0): Who's ready to watch the Heat shoot more free throws??

Pacers at Bulls, TNT, 9:30pm (Bulls lead series 1-0): It'd be really nice if the rest of the Chicago Bulls decided to help out Derrick Rose a little, wouldn't it? Then again, it's not like this city isn't used to having one superstar carry the entire team in the playoffs, right? (Hey! Rioting mob! What's with the pitchforks? I didn't say he was as good as Jordan!!)

LOL @ the shaq comment.
These playoffs are really good this year. That Hawks/Magics game was so bad. How does howard go off for 46 and 19 and lose the game.. Thats definitely what Stan Van Gundy was thumbs downin about!

The essence of "scumbag" from Bill Belichick, is slowly and near-complete in assimilating his wife. She won the audition of Cruella DeVille, by not even auditioning! That's how powerful the Belichick aura is, dear GOD!

Evil Ted and B-Bawful...

Who's laziness is more costly and gut-wrenching to the Celtics team?

Rasheed Wallace's or Shaquille O'Neal's?

Shaq, take note that Motumbo retired only because Oden swiped his knee and was in better shape than other centers and can play as a 41 year old and maybe beyond. You are injured because you stayed fat. Thank goodness Shaq is a veteran's minimum.

That looks like SVG's reaction to a made 3 by Hidayet.

Shaq would have to be available to be lazy, and he is not.

We need to get used to games decided by the refs, its what stern wanted all along with his stupid fines for commenting refs.

REFS MUST STOP WATCHING TV AND LEARN HOW TO WHISTLE A GAME. They are offended by the comments, dear god.

Denver the other day, PAcers today got fucked at the end of games with no existent foul calls.

NBA gets even more suckier.

Just fantastic officiating in this Bulls-Pacers series.

That Shaq comment was too funny. I wish he was still in his prime. Great website!

Could the Bulls please just blow us out like they're supposed to? These close games are filling me with a false hope which is then ruthlessly crushed by reality.

On the plus side, in the first quarter Webber had a nice dirty quote after Bogans missed a tip in: "...if Bogans could just get those last 2 inches in there.” Oh, I bet he wishes he could.

In an effort to be serious, I think SVG spotted a mismatch and wants his ballhandler to play "down" with whoever has the mismatch.
The "down-play" is created to have the forward player take the defender to the low post and post up for an "easy" 1-1 play.

It's frustrating when the referees help an otherwise more talented team, but one which is not playing well currently (i.e the bulls) the extreme preferential treatment in close games just to help them to a win. Hey, they supposedly have the best player in basketball, let them gut it out! Nonexistent offensive foul on Hibbert at the end, which nullified a George putback, then a crucial no-call when Boozer so blatantly obviously pushed Foster out of bounds, changing the possession. I'm not saying Indiana would have won the game with these calls, but it sure would have made for a more exiting finish.
Actually the first 6-8 minutes and the last 4-6 minutes of the game were when the referees used preferential treatment, the middle of the game was called more or less correctly.
Now Bawful, if you won't pick on the officiating this time, you won't have any moral ground to do it anymore ;-)

Mark -- Thanks a lot, Buzz Killington. (Though to be fair, I would imagine that was, indeed, the real situation)

@Dan B: You're right though, maybe I took the "What's going on here?" too serious? ;-)

Heh, it says Bawfu.

Yes the officiating was horrible at the Bulls-Pacers game last night. I was throwing stuff at my TV. I guess the most dramatic moment was the officials confirming if the shot attempt was a really 3-pointer after DRose foul!!! Hysterical

Coach van Gundy just found out somebody did a two-part movie adaptation of Atlas Shrugged.
