Eddie House just scored 19 points in the first quarter.
As a Toronto resident, I disagree. It epitomizes the sheer, bawful suckitude of the Craptors.
They got pounded by the Heat's BENCH, which everyone has pointed out all season is their Achilles' heel and filled with scrubs or players plucked out of retirement homes.
I'd also like to point out that there are apparently 20,000 pretty stupid people in Toronto, since they attended the game last night under some sort of delusion that any of the big 3 would play for a millisecond. Uh, no. And you could have realized looking at the schedule before the season started. What was the likelihood of this being a competitive meaningful game, ever?
Now if you'll excuse, I have to go pray for two months that this team drafts Derrick Williams by some miracle this summer.
The Other CHRIS whom I presume is a Raptor fan. I came in thinking this game was gonna be an unholy whupping for us.
But man it was fun. Chalmers, House, Magloire, House, and Z all had moments of greatness. It was so bawful. We played friggin Magloire at Power Forward!
@ The Other Chris -- count me among the 20,000, although I will point out that I was given my tickets (thanks Kev!). I expected that Miami would give the Super Friendz the night off. What I minded was the lineup of summer league rejects the Raptors trotted out (for "Fanapalooza", no less). Couldn't they have just suited up the first 15 people through the turnstiles?
I know, I know, some guys are injured, but c'mon...Alex Ajinca must have played 25 minutes. Ugh.
@Lord Kerrance: About dressing the first through the turnstiles: That's apparantly what they did in Washington, and at least they were pretty good at home this season.
@The Other Chris - as Lord Kerrance, count me as one of them too. I admit I bought the tickets a few weeks back, when it appeared as though the game may matter in the battle for second in the East. Oops ... on the bright side, I was able to avoid the rush into Union and made it home before the game even ended - a new record.
Things just got a whole lot more real in Sactown, with billionaire owner of the NHL Pittsburgh Penguins, Ron Burkle, throwing his name into the hat for keeping the Paupers by the confluence of the American and Sacramento Rivers.
As announced by Mayor Kevin Johnson to the utter shock of one David Stern.

Yeah. That's our team. It's too depressing, let's not talk about it. After all, we didn't have the worst record in the league this year - something to shoot for!
Ajina: ugh. Ugh. He played a lot in the last game I attended. Which they lost. To the Cleveland Cavaliers.
That doesn't epitomize every single last-day-of-the-Association's-regular-season, does it.

Triano had to keep the stars healthy for the playoffs.
I'm joking, of course.
The Craptors don't have any stars.

an appropriate anigif for how I feel right now
:D

Turrible.
