knee mac
Wise men once said, hard work often pays off after time,
but laziness always pays off now. Just ask Knee-Mac.

Tracy McGrady to WDFN in Detroit (via TrueHoop):

"It's tough to play 82 games balls out. It's tough to do that. When I say that, yeah I get criticized. Basketball players know there's a lot of truth to that. I know it's not the right thing to say. I don't care what people think of it. It's the truth if you play basketball."
McGrady has finally admitted he doesn't go balls out for 82 games? No shit. Hell, Knee-Mac never even played a full 82 games to go balls out in. So, yeah, not exactly surprised here.

As for the sentiment, well, I have a feeling I know how guys like Larry, Magic and Michael would respond to what Tracy said...

Well, at least the very beginning of Knee-Mac's quote was factual in his case: "It's tough to play 82 games..."

I'll give him this much, its tough. True. Thats why they are supposed to give all those millions of dollars to the people who can! If its too tough for him, he should just quit, admit he doesn't have what it takes to be a pro ball player.

Not true! McGrady played exactly 82 games in the 1999-00 season and 2002-03 season, including a whopping 85 games in 2004-05 thanks to his career defining one-round post-seasons!

lol TMAC. How can he even make that comment when he's barely even played 82 games. Maybe he should have said 'yeah it's tough to play 70 games'.

Is he reading Vogue?

Blogger Sorbo said...
What magzine is he reading? I can make it a V and an E but nothing else. Is that Vogue? WTF is Vogue doing in a Houston locker room?

So after some intense investigation it looks like the magazine is Velvet. So if you read the description of Velvet Tracy isn't even reading.

T-Mac is right about one thing: It's tough to play with your balls out.

I thought you were going to comment on this gem from Knee-Mac: "I probably can't dunk on guys like I did against Memo Okur here in 2003 - I hope that's not still a bad memory for Pistons fans". What a way to compliment yourself and remind everyone who the player you used to be but are not now.

To be fair, playing with that type of intensity leads to not being able to finish the season healthy,or at all.....that doesn't mean you have to mail it in,it just means you pick your spots...somewhere,Randy Moss is reading this going,'n*g-ga please'.....

If T-Mac did admit that it's not in your quote. Very poor, Bawful. Stop being spiteful and lazy, dude.

Uka- I'm sure Piston fans remember coming back from a 3-1 deficit against Knee-Mac's Magic team much better.
