I just wanted everybody to know that the slight delay in Livin' Large posts is due to vacation-related chillaxing...which has been much-needed. Here's a blooper reel from the early 90s to tide you over. (And if this isn't enough, check out this airballs video.)
Oh, the clip where the guy missed the alley oop and put it back in... haha, I did the same thing once, except it was just a normal, wide open dunk... =( embarrassing.
Something else to pass the time while waiting for a new LL-episode. Don't know if this allready came up around here but here's a new True Warier Vlog. Ron Artest in an ocean-themed themepark in Hong Kong with some model who asks him to tell about The Brawl. What follows is a nice piece of storytelling and reënacting from Artest, while simultaneously posing for pictures with Chinese people half his size.

I don't know, sometimes he seems like a pretty nice guy...
anyone know if hanging on the rim on the missed alley counted. I know you would get a technical for hanging, but the basket should still be good right?
Michael HSU - AK Dave is right, that would not count, not even close. You can't grab the rim prior to putting the ball through the basket. Even if you go up to dunk and grab the rim with one hand first before throwing it down with the other, that'll get waived off, so hanging on the rim like that is a definite no-no.
Must add my voice to those who are a) appreciating the Livin' Large series and b) impatiently awaiting the next installment.
Want to encourage people to leave their own stories, like what happened in the comment section of the last installment. If i had a story worth telling, i would...but i don't (however, i do lie very well). But hearing others' college hookup/miss stories is an excellent way to pass the time between Large installments.
Since you are in Italy, apparently there was a nice brawl after an Italian player cheap shotted a Candian player. Basketbrawl ensued, and superdickery for the attack.
Good stuff right there. I don't know what's more striking. Bird killing the Blazers using his left hand and never jumping higher that 5 1/2 inches off the floor or the fact that you can hear the ball bouncing/sneakers squeaking/crowd cheering and not the annoying blaring music/sound effects that your ears get assaulted with in today's game experience.
was that a big balls dance sighting ... by nick van exel??? at the :40 mark. forgive me if i'm late, but i thought sam cassell was credited with it much more recent than when nickie v was in a lakers uniform.

Geert: I kinda want that jellyfish shirt.
Travis Outlaw's airballed dunk was damn nice too.
Sure it counts! It's And-1, baby!!
Wait- this was a real game played by real pros? Oh crap. No, dude, I'm afraid that basket's getting waved off...

That is a Pal(in)ism
Seems like sucktitude is contagious.
