This actually was a much smarter play than Chris Paul's. At least Hermann used it to try to get a shot off, all CP3 did was risk turning the ball over underneath his own basket in an effort to inbound the ball so he could walk it upcourt. That's a poor risk vs. reward equation. With this Hermann play it wouldn't have mattered if he'd turned it over since there was only a second left. Even if there'd been more time on the clock though, Boston would have had to go the length of the court to take advantage of it if Hermann had turned it over. If CP3 had turned it over, Kobe just would have dunked it on him again.

Ooooooh, boy !!! Did Stacey King (or was it Neil Funk ?) just call Vladimir Radmanovic "a smart, wily veteran" ? Don't the words "space" and "cadet" mean anything to him ? Does he even know who Phil Jackson is ? What's next ? Calling Bill Laimbeer "a posterboy for sportsmanship" ?

dunkside -- Actually, they were talking about Juwan Howard, who was checking in for Vlad-Rad.

Ok, this makes more sense. That would have been ridiculous even for these 2 - and they know a thing or two about making ridiculous statements.

Now speaking about bad, a possession can't get much worse than this:

5:00 CHA - D. Diop steals the ball from B. Gordon (bad pass)
5:11 CHI - B. Miller offensive rebound
5:12 CHI - B. Gordon misses a 25-foot three-pointer from the right wing
5:17 CHI - T. Thomas offensive rebound
5:19 CHI - B. Gordon misses a 24-foot three-pointer from the right corner

Amundson super mario:

37.8 PHO - L. Amundson enters game for S. O'Neal
36.1 PHO - Personal foul on L. Amundson
36.1 ORL - D. Howard hits the first free throw
36.1 PHO - S. O'Neal enters game for L. Amundson

sorry bawful, dont know where else to place this nugget!

Pistons beat the Nuggets 100-95 tonight despite the best efforts of Amir Johnson and trillionaire club platinum service member Kwame Brown. 2 trillion for Amir and Stone Hands was a mere PF away from a 7 TRILLION. So really, if you think about it, it was even worse than a 7 trillion. For the Nuggets, the Birdman went 1-8 and K-Mart went 3-13.

@Thom

7 trillions are elusive. I'm saddened by the lone foul

(the word verification thing down here says "drompul". Say it out loud, doesn't it sound like it could mean something)

dunkside -- Totally used that possession at By The Horns!

balamon: Except he also ended up with about 9 more minutes of playing time, to avoid Donkey Kong and the princess.

Thom & Pratt: Yeah, how many #1 overall picks have scored trillions, though? Suck differentials are much easier to accrue, so any trillion by Kwame would have instantly put him ahead of Milicic and Sam Bowie as Worst Lottery Pick Evar, though I think he's about there already.

And the "word verification" is "failed", awesome.
