I have a new favorite video of all time. Watch as Phil Jackson, in all his infinite and goofy whiteness, tries to fist bump his franchise player. Only Kobe leaves poor Phil hanging, so P-Jax is forced to pass it off by fist bumping his own face. I kid you not. If you don't laugh at this, then welcome to the past, T-1000. And no, I have not seen that boy.

A great many thanks to Basketbawful reader Nick N. for sending in the link.

Hahaha that's hilarious. Why would Phil even try to fistbump his players? I always thought he looked like he didn't know they were even there.

Notice how Phil only attempts to fistbump Kobe?

He's too good to fistbump Adam Morrison.

KB wasn't even looking at Phil. Yeah he is awesome but he's not eyes-in-the-back-of-his-head-awesome

I love how Jackson goes 'both sides' to sell it.

Don't read the Deadspin thing if you are an LA fan. Not only is he screaming about the 2002 title being tainted again, but now the Lakers shouldn't have won Game 7 in 2000 against Portland either. And now he's naming names, specifically Dick Bavetta. This is a bigger threat to the Lakers repeating than either Ron Artest or the Kardashians...

Hey bawful. This is SO off topic, but I'm having an Aimee problem right now - being in an on again, off again relationship and then we get into this really big fight and now she's dating another guy. WHAT AM I SUPPOSED TO DO? Please help...

Hey 'bawful! Cavs 91 - Raptors 101... Cavs fg%: 34.9%
I am SO missing john kuester right now...

Man, if there was a conspiracy to give the Lakers that Game 7 in 2000 then Portland was in on it. The refs didn't make the Blazers fire up a bunch of bricked perimeter jumpers in that fourth quarter when LA reeled off 15 unanswered points. That's ancient history though.

I can't help but feel like after tonight's loss to the Raptors that I was right about last night's Celtics win saying more about how bad Cleveland is than how good Boston is. Then again, Boston just curbstomped the ever loving shit out of Charlotte, so maybe last nght's game was about both how good Boston is and how bad the Crabs are.

If that Game 7 in 2000 was a conspiracy and Portland was in on it, wouldn't hey have made it seem less obvious by already bricking a few shots during the game as opposed to missing a crapload in the 4th? I'm not a Laker fan but I don't buy into this whole conspiracy thing..

I don't think Yams was actually saying Portland conspired to let LA win

IN DIRE NEED OF HELP - its hard to say without details, but basically: Step away. Take a good long look. Its easy to feel at the moment that you want to get her back, but is it really because you want it or because you have an anamilistic instinct to get back what is yours and screw over the competing guy? In the end you'll just get frustrated, and you won't like her the same way and will have fights with her all the time, causing you more frustration. Finally you'll try and make her leave you by just being bad, so that you and others can feel sorry for you.
Instead, just step away - go out with some friends, meet someone online, etc. Next thing you know all this crap won't feel so important, and you'll feel sorry for the guy who got stuck with her.

My 2 cents at least ;-)

And now end Dear Abby :D

BTW yesterday I learned my whole office is being shut down. I have 2 kids. Fun for christmas...
(luckily I already had a backup plan in the works, and I was considering handing in my resignation on Monday before the news. I might end up doubling my pay. Fun for christmas! What a crazy week)

If this isn't the greatest video ever, it's certainly in the discussion.

Speaking of high comedy, I can't wait to see the WOTN's ripping of the 59 point performance last night from the Bobcats. It's sure to be more exciting than the game itself. And right up there with the Cavs dropping two straight to open the season!

In Dire Need of Help -- Are we going to need to start a Dear Bawful feature on this website? Arlen summed it up well; take a step back and look at the big picture. Sometimes it's better just to move on for your own sanity if the relationship is just doomed to never really work. But sometimes it's just a rough patch that results in two people finally starting to see things the same way and think alike. Only you can make that determination.

Arlen -- Jeez, good luck with your backup plan!

IN DIRE NEED OF HELP -- Arlen (whom I'm sorry to hear is having some problems of his own) gave you some nice and thoughtful advice. Now here's mine:

Let her go.

No, really. If her response to a really big fight is to immediately start dating someone else, then that's a major sign of how she deals with conflict. I know it's tough, and I know it sucks, but letting her walk will probably end up being the best decision you ever make.

Wow. A "I have not seen this boy" joke was made without a mention of Falcon! Bawful, either you're behind the times, or way ahead of the pop culture comedic irony curve.

I also love how Sasha is like
"..please kobe.. just look at me.. just once.. im punching in the chest!..im hugging you!.. validate my existance" and that dude is basically like.. " is the milk at home expired yet or can i stretch it?"

"The refs didn't make the Blazers fire up a bunch of bricked perimeter jumpers in that fourth quarter when LA reeled off 15 unanswered points."

Point of clarification: A lot of those (quality) jumpshots circled in and out.

Plus, when the Lakers are banking in 3 three's from straight on, well, in just isn't your night.

"Arlen (whom I'm sorry to hear is having some problems of his own) gave you some nice and thoughtful advice. Now here's mine:"

Please, for my sanity, don't encourage this type of post. Or not until the season is over.
