Generally speaking, I try to avoid political discussions on this site. But John Stewart is freaking brilliant, and this vignette cracked me up.

What the heck? Sure, this is funny, but why post a political video on a basketball site? I'm a big fan of basketbawful and check the site at least once a day, but I don't understand why you would post an obviously politically biased video. I'm a Republican voting for Obama, and there are as many instances of Democratic ridiculousness as Republican ridiculousness.

Keep Basketbawful pure. If you were to start a political blog, I would probably check it every day because you're a good, humorous writer. But please don't mix my love of basketball with politics.

I'm a republican voting for Mac, but I think Stewart is hilarious, and this is one of his better clips. No one with a sense of humor should be offended by this. I have to agree with dc, though:

How does this relate to basketball?

Carlos Boozer...Sarah Palin...Alaska...sexism. Pretty straight forward to me.

I don't think Jon Stewart is all that funny...but making fun of Karl Rove is always good for a laugh.

Plus a Python reference (be it ever so minor) is always good in my books.

I thought this was funny, however when I showed it to my mom to share in the mirth, she informed me that Jon Stewart is the Anti-Christ and that he actively campaigns against all religion. I just didn't know that about him....

if jon stewart is the antichrist, thank god i've already long-since stamped my express ticket to hell. i'm sure he'll be a lot more fun to be around than your mom.

to the best of my knowledge, no, he does not "actively campaign" against any religion, and furthermore i can't find any evidence that he does. but anybody who's watched his show for any length of time knows he's pretty skeptical of organized religion (and thank god for that).

and shrugz- check out hulu.com. not sure if those vids are available in all countries, but they have full-length episodes from like the last two weeks, updated the day after the show airs.

Well I've been reading you for 2 years now Mr Bawful (may I call you that?) and this just doesn't fit.

Give us basketball please or we quit reading your site. Most sports satirists I've been reading seem to be suffering from and acute bout of what the "f" was my blog about again?

We get it most of you are liberals, big deal. Your site is funny because its about the "funny" in pro basketball, not because you post some of John Stewart's un-funniest and lame videos.

Once again, we are presented with proof positive that the root of American conservatism is a lack of a sense of humor.

The link doesn't work anymore. :O

Wormy... I like a lot of stuff from the Stewart show, just not Stewart himself. He is condescending and not funny to me. His "sideline reporters" are.

What a pretentious shot to take at someone. One comment and you know everything about a person. Typical conservative behavior. See how it works? I just assumed you were conservative based on one comment. Jackass.
