Press conference magic

I thought you peeps would get a kick out of these magical press conference moments from the 2009 NBA Playoffs. Highlights include Gregg Popovich asking if he's getting punked, Ron Artest being Ron Artest and a topless Birdman.

  2. Jerry Sloan: "We're not a nasty team."

The Popovich record scratching was nice, too.

My question is: What happened to the 1930s press guy that asked Pop the butter and egg question?

Look out Pop, you down the river without a paddle and Tim Duncan is playin' on bad wheel. The Ship Be Sinkin', I'm tellin' ya! Watch out, because Dirk's Johnny on the Spot this year and Bowen looks about as spry as Dubya C. Fields and there's more innuendo flying about your playoff lives than May West could handle, I tells ya.

I'd bet dollars to donuts there'll be No Seaside Rendezvous with the Lakers this year (Freddie Mercury)! Yuh tuh tuh tuh tuhtuh tuh.

Now try that in a old time radio announcer voice and see what it does for you.

  3. Is Rick Adelman really that short?

  4. No mention of the amazing vanishing Carmelo? The man was practically invisible for certain games in this series. Granted, he rocked in others, but that's not what you expect of a "superstar." Billups had the handicap of not knowing whether their franchise player would show up from night to night in the conference finals. That's pretty harsh.

  5. You know, it comes to my attention that there is no wikipedia entry for this site. There is rich history to be commemorated.

I guess Odom's candy habit is getting way out of hand. What's next? injecting himself with pure sugar?

  8. He'll need to take note from Charles Barkley Shut Up and Jam: Gaiden, and seek help from Wilford Brimley.

    ROFL yeah seriously.

Doctor, it's been reported that Trevor Ariza didn't drink a lot of milk, is that why he's shooting almost 50% from the 3land?

  10. I love the Atrest-Yao joint appearances. They should take that show on the road during the off-season. Artest could take Yao to visit his old neighborhood and stuff. Comedy gold, I'm telling you.
