Basketbawful is going up against Red's Army in the Final Four. It's time for you, dear readers, to go over there and put me over the top, Sylvester Stallone-style.
Okay then. Now that I've gotten the shameless plug out of the way, here's some hand-holdin' man love, sent in by both Dan B. and Michael T. (who provided the caption.) Take a careful peek into the background. Is that the rage of jealousy I see in Mamba's grim visage...?
c'mon ppl lets get voting. bawful is currently behind 66%-34%
ReplyDeleteWe're down by thirty some-aught percent to those guys. Step it up.
ReplyDeletevoted. this is the best b-ball blog. people need to go vote... we are not in the lead last I checked.
ReplyDelete50/50 as of just now.
ReplyDeleteIf we lose, every reader has to intern for Stern for a week.
And the winner is... Serenity!
ReplyDeleteNo seriously, let's just hope that they don't go NASA on us. (unless we lose, of course)
Good God, an Over the Top reference. My day is complete.
ReplyDeleteWell, at least until somebody photoshops this one to have Gasol and Bynum skipping through a meadow. Then my day will be truly complete.
(And yes, I went and voted)
53-47%
ReplyDeleteBasketbawful pulls up for 3- BANG!! Count it AND A FOUL!! Get on the magic carpet and RIIIIIDE!
Dahntay Jones continually grabbing Chris Paul's nuts. That scrub needs to develop an NBA skill other than molestation.
ReplyDeleteLink broken?
ReplyDeleteHaven't been able to vote.
link still works fine here...
ReplyDelete57-43 isnt good enough, we must crush them!
You almost lost that last round! That would have been as embarassing as the guy that lost in 0.5 seconds to Stallone!
ReplyDeleteMy vote brings Bawful upto 56-44.
And I do believe that is actually Mamba egging on Bynum with a "yeaaahhh booooyyy you ridin' that?"
I'm not saying that I managed to vote twice, but I'm not denying it.
ReplyDeleteLike Rocky we "are like a piece of iron." And much like Drago we "must break him." 'Him' being other blogs.
In other news, it seems like every team that struggled the first night on defense, didn't really improve their overall D, they just got somebody to go out and score like the didn't the game before.
Ray Allen, Brandon Roy, Tony Parker, will D-Wade have it in him?
Hey Bawful, do you feel dissed that they're describing you as a "Cindarella story that came out of nowhere"..? or are you embracing your perceived underdog status in the tourney?
ReplyDeleteWow, that Gasol/Bynum pic is hilarious, especially with Kobe in the background
ReplyDeleteSenor Bawful is currently in the lead, 60%-40%. Well done, chaps :)
ReplyDeleteIt was hard to vote against a blog named for Auerbach, but I did click the circle for Bawful.
ReplyDeleteI already voted , we are up 61% to 39 so no worries .
ReplyDeletePS. I have been reading basket bawful since november and it is addicting. Thanks to all for contributing to it and special thanks to mr.bawful. Believe it or not , I am stuck in Pakistan and has had quite a few troubles to get proper reliable internet connection and at one time, i ended up swtiching my connection because i wasn't able to connect to google affliated website which also blocked basketbawful.
Just thougt i share that. lol
Keep up the good work.
one of the magic announcers just called theo ratliff "one of the greatest shotblockers of all time".
ReplyDeletedikimbe mutombo is rolling over in his hospital bed.
AnacondaHL -- I thought the same thing. Kobe seems to be quite pleased with this. Though I'm assuming it's just because he's looking forward to making gay joke after gay joke.
ReplyDeleteBuck Nasty -- I'd actually say the other blogs are more like Drago. "He's cut! He's cut! The Russian is bleeding!"
jj -- Do you think Mutumbo finger-wagged at the TV when he heard the announcer say that?
Rogue -- Great to see you're still able to make it on here and effectively waste time with the rest of us.
/Just voted again from another PC, we're at 62%
Goodness Bawfulness! Not only was Al Hortford, center, the leading assist man for Atlanta (5), but they allowed Jermaine O'Neal to become a presence on the inside. I repeat: Jermaine O'Neal was a key factor to Miami's win. Can we please just get to the LAL-CLE Finals already?
ReplyDeleteBryant: "SEPARATE! NOW!"
ReplyDeleteWV: sessumso. Yeah he did!
People are actually asking Shaq for advice on how to lose weight.
ReplyDeleteKobe looks more angry than anything else. Probably thinks Pau can do better. He's not wrong.
