(But not really. It is, as always, completely and unintentionally hilarious, especially when Ron is cluelessly tapping away at the buttons on his mix machine, which itself looks like something off the original Starship Enterprise. A kitten walking across a computer keyboard would have a better idea of what its doing. Thanks to Dunpizzle for the link.)

Ron Artest: Rap Video All-Star
As a follow up to yesterday's Ron Artest video blog post, here's a stinging mouthful of Ron-Ron's latest song and video: "In Da Hood." But beware: If you find horrible and poorly performed rap music particularly grueling, you should skip this.

Anyone else notice that Artest messed up the lyrics to his own song?
ReplyDeleteHilarious that he doen't know the words to his own song.
ReplyDeleteSing some lyrics, turn away from the camera and listen for awhile to see where the song is at, pick up the lyrics again for a few words, turn way to listen and fing his place, sing a couple more words, then the song says what he just said making it obvious he was early, so he adjusts the volume so you can't hear that he's wrong. (but it's too late.)
Also he keeps saying "know what I mean?" No. Does anyone know what you mean.
I'm singing about basketball in it's true form. Where if you're too good or too bad, you get killed.
Nothng more gangster than standing in a well-lit parking garage, wearing jeans and a t-shirt, standing next to a DODGE CHARGER.
ReplyDeleteReally, Ron? A Charger?
Also interesting how he proudly features misspelt bling - Tru Warier. Warier, as in, more wary.
ReplyDeleteWow - the verification on this comment post is 'mastory'. Another Artest track...this is ma story.
He's no Troy Hudson.
ReplyDeleteIf you want a good laugh, Google 'Kobe Tyra rap'. Truly basketbawful.
Sad to say, this sounds a lot like the crap that is spewing from the radio these days. I was just on my to work, decided to see what is on the radio and heard basically some guy rapping about nothing, the same guy singing a la Peter Frampton-electronic voiced chorus, then the radio show host stating that his station was nothing but hip hop.
ReplyDeleteHey, how 'bout that Suns-Oklahoma City game???
Remember how Ron wanted to take a leave from the Pacers to promote his record? Hilarious!
ReplyDeleteThat could have been as bad as Jordan playing baseball (kinda)
Helicopters and choppers? Whoa, watch out!
ReplyDeleteRon seriously needs to get drug-tested by the league. There is no way he is not off his face on something most of the time.
ReplyDeleteI got alotta love for Spalinda too, Ron.
ReplyDeleteCaleb - ROFL. I just hurt myself trying not to laugh and failing.
ReplyDeleteFor my verification, I get redoof. Ron Artest's second video is obviously a redoof.
I wonder if he has a necklace with 'tru warier' on it? If he does, he should really show that thing off. If I had a necklace like that, I would show it to the camera all the time. I wonder why he doesn't do this.
ReplyDeleteIt's almost a parody.
ReplyDeleteWordverification: fanit. Yo, it's getting to hot. Fan it plz!
Didn't he get that memo from the black crusaders saying that gangsta rap went out of style 10 years ago?
ReplyDeletehahaha!! man!! ron artest look dumb i mean he look really stupid. is that all he can afford to make a music video?? i thought nba players has money
ReplyDeleteThat man is a comedy gold mine. He should get his own talk-show!
ReplyDeleteKudos on choosing the location though, empty parking lots are the way to go.
i love hiphop but i´m tired of defending it.. because of "rappers" like ronron
ReplyDeletethat video made me feel ashame
You gotta mention David Lee's self-alley oop against the Warriors in WOTN. What a douche move, really surprising coming from a normally composed player like Lee.
ReplyDeleteI mean, was he even in the air yet when he caught that thing?
A worst of the night for Sunday picture

i thought the self-alley was hilarious.
ReplyDeletehe could pass it to duhon and wait to get it back, but threw it up to himself instead.. of course it was nothing athletic, but come on, it´s david lee..
BBawful,
ReplyDeleteThis was on Sunday:
Is it me or did the ball-handling, and guard skills of certain big men increase so much they changed positions into backcourt players, and have the former back-court players take steroids and bulkup into forwards? What the hell would Steve Blake have eaten to become an SF or PF?
here's the link, whats your email because i got the pic saved as well?

Hey Bawful, you alright man? Its been almost a week between posts.
ReplyDeleteSure its David Lee and that self alley sucked but he "won" the mcdonalds all american dunk contest against James White who jumps like the Incredible Hulk
ReplyDeleteI think that Zensunni Phil Jackson is playing with Kobe's mind on another level that us mere mortals can't even hope to understand.
ReplyDeleteDon't you think Kobe and Phil talked about it before the game? Don't you think Kobe deliberately didn't try, and Phil was blowing smoke?
