joe just sent me this priceless video of Kobe Bryant smacking some poor lady in the face with a towel during yesterday's Mavs/Lakers game. So yes, he's trusting his teammates more and has stopped blasting his owner, GM, and front office. But once a Black Mamba, always a Black Mamba. (Even if he didn't do it on purpose; see below.)

30f had to rain all over my hate parade with the following 100 percent correct explanation for Kobe's apparent act of
superdickery: "Looks to me like the Mambster is grabbing a towel off the top of the the stack and the second one in the stack clings to the towel in his hand. You can see the towel he actually grabbed remaining in his hand at the end of the clip as the other one flies towards its (accidental?) target. This is not to say that Kobe is NOT a tool, I just think that this is how he picks out the conquests for his road trip hotel rooms without the wife knowing. Kobe hearts MILFS."

stephanie -- Oops!
But of course, this towel thing is more important.
No mention of Kidd choking on the game deciding free throw, Dirk missing a jumper to tie the game, or even Lamar missing 3 clutch FTs in a row that would have sealed the game? What about JHo, Sasha, and Fisher having a terrible shooting night or Gasol completely becoming invisible in the face of Dampier's physical play?
There was plenty of suck that game to harp on, but there's really not much you can pin on Kobe.
Yeah, it is a pretty funny clip, but I mean, there's so much better material available. Is this really the best you could have done?
Still, VERY funny!!!
jollyjo -- Psst. Read the text UNDER the video.
craig -- Damn. I'd really rather have video of the hot daughter...
That's some sweet basketball announcing insight. I'm a Laker fan and I was like "OMG Van Gundy called it!" instead of "OMG Kobe got the board!" Heh
As you can see, I had a lot of down time during the 2 1/2 years the Lakers sucked.
